Every day, we dedicate ourselves to community service. This dedication dates back to our predecessor institutions, Wesley Memorial and Passavant Hospitals, founded upon principals of service. Their mission statement still holds true for us today: “We seek to improve the health of the communities we serve by delivering a broad range of services with sensitivity to the individual needs of patients and their families.”
Now some 140 years later, this founding principle is ever-present as we continue to serve our community as a Great Academic Medical Center. Through an enduring partnership with Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, we remain focused on exceptional patient care, breakthroughs in clinical research, and medical teaching excellence. We hold a fundamental belief that everyone deserves access to quality care that is safe, reliable and delivered in a welcoming environment – regardless of ability to pay.
