Clinical Schools Alumni Spotlight

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Class of 2007 graduated four new sonographers on December 10, 2007. All graduates are currently employed in sonography, and are registry eligible for national exams in Physics, Abdomen, and OB-GYN given by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Two of our new graduates, Liz Kenyon and Winston Woo, remain at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as employees in the Feinberg Ultrasound Department:

Liz came to the sonography program with a background as a Veterinary Technician. She began her career in Denver, CO in an emergency veterinary clinic. She decided to “cross over” to the human side and chose Diagnostic Medical Sonography school at Northwestern Memorial. Her compassion, dedication and great sense of humor make her well-suited to work with patients and their families.

Winston had no previous patient-care experience when he started the sonography program. After graduating with a Biology degree, he worked in industry for a short time. He prefers working more closely with people and finds sonography challenging and very rewarding. His commitment to quality imaging assists him in providing the “best patient experience.”
