Admissions Policy & Committee
NM Academy reserves the right to deny admission, continued enrollment or re-enrollment to any applicant or student whose personal history and background indicate that his or her presence at the Hospital would endanger the health, safety, welfare or property of its patients, visitors and employees or interfere with the orderly and effective performance of the Hospital's functions.

Individuals with disabilities or illness should make every effort to understand the physical and mental demands of the profession. NM Academy is committed to providing every reasonable effort to consider these students, bearing in mind the safety of the student, employee, and the patient.

NM Academy relies heavily upon its efforts to provide equal educational opportunities and benefits to all students. The Academy does not discriminate in the recruitment and admission of students or in the operation of any of its educational programs or activities. Equal opportunity to applicants and students is provided regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military discharge status or source of income in the provision of educational services.

The admissions committee considers all aspects of each individual's application and offers admission to the best-qualified applicants. Applications are evaluated on the basis of the applicant's academic performance, their references, past work experience and a personal interview with members of the Committee. Based on these factors, the applicants are ranked for admission into the Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiography and Radiation Therapy Programs. Applicants will be notified by a letter of acceptance or rejection, well in advance of the entrance date.
